Overview
Idaho Immunization Coalition is hosting its annual immunization summit. The one day in person event will cover a variety of topics related to immunizations. Speakers will discuss the current state of immunizations national and in Idaho. One session will cover the history of vaccines. Education will cover vaccine advocacy. The documentary film Short in the Arm will be shown with Q&A with the film maker following the viewing.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Participants will understand the current state of vaccines in Idaho.
  2. Participants will increase their knowledge on current ACIP vaccine recommendations.
  3. Participants will understand how policies and politics can impact vaccine rates and access.
  4. Participants will have an understanding of the difference between misinformation and disinformation
  5. Participants will increase their knowledge on potential pandemic threats in low and middle-income countries.

Accreditation
The Southwest Idaho Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Utah Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Southwest Idaho Area Health Education Center designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 6.50 AMA PRA Category 1 creditTM (s). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
