Content will include the latest public health guidance and findings on Monkeypox (MPX) and will specifically address MPX and HIV epidemiological data from Idaho and Utah. Experience treating patient populations will be shared with attendees along with an opportunity for Q&A.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Review epidemiological data demonstrating MPX has disproportionally affected persons living with HIV (PLWH), MSM, bisexual men and men in racial and ethnic minority groups
  2. Identify barriers that may impact treatment and prevention of MPX
  3. Review MPX treatment and prevention recommendations
  4. Consider strategies that can reduce stigma associated with MPX

The Southwest Idaho Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Utah Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
